Built from local experience. Made for local realities.
Richard Jonstar Innovation Ventures is a Nigerian enterprise developing practical hardware solutions from Kaduna State.
Engineering should solve a problem people can point to.
The venture grew from the intersection of electrical work, farming and hands-on fabrication. Founder Richard Japhet saw the practical constraints around land preparation, transport costs and cooking energy—and began building equipment with local needs and maintainability in mind.
The portfolio now includes a field-demonstrated hand tractor, an operational cooking-stove prototype under development, a 3-in-1 motorized bicycle prototype and an early-stage flywheel energy concept. Each has a distinct maturity level, and the company aims to communicate that clearly.

Credible work, clearly communicated.
Rooted in use cases
Design starts with the real conditions of farming, mobility and small-scale enterprise in Nigerian communities.
Repairability matters
Local components and serviceability are priorities alongside function and affordability.
Evidence over hype
We separate field demonstrations, prototypes and concepts—and avoid overstating performance or impact.

Founder & CEO · Electrician · Farmer · Practical Nigerian innovator
Richard brings experience with electrical systems and firsthand familiarity with farming challenges in Kaduna State. His approach is hands-on: identify a local bottleneck, build toward a workable solution, then refine through demonstration, testing and partnership.
